I’m excited to share that I’ll be attending Xenite Retreat later this week. I get to accompany Steven L. Sears, who will be appearing as a special guest.
This year is especially meaningful: Xenite Retreat is celebrating its 10-year anniversary. For a decade, this gathering has brought fans together around a shared love of Xena: Warrior Princess, its characters, its stories, and the extraordinary community that has grown around the Xenaverse.
Xenite Retreat is, above all, a fan-centered event—a chance to connect with people who understand the joy of favorite episodes, unforgettable moments, beloved characters, and the stories that continue to inspire us. This is an amazing group of fans that is still going strong 25 years after the show went off the air. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with friends, meeting new fans, and enjoying the conversations and camaraderie that make this event so special.
Steven will be participating in a variety of ways (I’m not allowed to reveal them in advance!), and I’ll be there to cheer him on, and share in the celebration. It is always great to hear the thoughtful questions, the memories people carry with them, and the joy of discovering how deeply a story has touched someone’s life. If you’ll be attending, please come say hello. I would love to meet you and talk about Xena, science fiction, writing, books, creative projects—or whatever world has captured your imagination lately.
